Bo's Bakelab emerged from my attempt to make something special for Mother's Day during the COVID lockdown. It all started when I decided to embark on the sourdough adventure. My first starter, Disco, met a tragic end (may Disco rest in floury peace). Turns out, feeding it bleached flour was not the way to go. Now, I proudly introduce Disco Square, the sourdough heir of the family!

My fascination with incorporating sourdough discards into recipes became the catalyst for this sweet endeavour. With the relentless encouragement of family and friends (who may or may not have been bribed with cookies), Bo's Bakelab came to life. Our flagship creation, the Major Chocolate Chip n' Walnuts, quickly became everyone's favourite guilty pleasure. And the Pow-Pow cookie, a delightful combination of apricots, raisins, organic oats, and walnuts that has won hearts faster than you can say "crumbs." and it has become my sister's go to "POWER-UP" cookie.

Each recipe carries the essence of someone special or a nostalgia-inducing childhood flavour. May these flavours transport you to a land of sweet memories, shared with your loved ones, while you savour the delectable creations from Bo's Bakelab.

Bo, also known as Pomona, has spent over 20 years honing her skills as a graphic designer. However, her creative journey has taken an exciting turn as she embarked on a thrilling culinary adventure, channeling her creativity into her newfound passion for food. In a heartfelt tribute to her supportive family, Bo has incorporate her Chinese name into her culinary journey, symbolizing the encouragement she has received from her loved ones in this exciting endeavor.
